Digital Society Research Study

In August 2023, a research team was established to facilitate the creation of a free international data flow environment. The team initiated a study to assess the current progress and response to digital transformation (DX).

Furthermore, in response to the growing need for international rule-making driven by the advancement of digital trade, the Digital Society Research Institute was established in April 2024.
The Institute launched several thematic working groups to examine the challenges and ideal frameworks for realizing a digital society, as well as how Japan should optimize and deepen its relationships within the international community. By capturing a broad range of related issues, the Institute conducted multifaceted research and analysis, actively disseminating its findings both domestically and internationally.
