With the relationship with personal data protection in mind, we will consider comprehensive trade rules, including non-personal data, from the perspective of ensuring the free distribution of data, against compulsory access by public organizations to information held by the private sector (e.g., compulsory technology transfer by governments to foreign companies, mandatory source code disclosure, etc.).

<Strategic Design

z Clarify Japan's position and set a direction in which cooperation with friendly countries will be strengthened by this, and reach a consensus on short-, medium-, and long-term actions.

z We will provide materials to appropriately disseminate Japan's arguments at the OECD, WTO, and trade negotiations surrounding Japan. It will also play a role in networking among major policy organizations.
