 We conducted activities to realize DFFT, which is a source of growth and competitiveness for companies doing business globally, and to contribute to strengthening Japan's international competitiveness and building stability and trust through digital transformation.

z Visualize the laws and regulations of each country and their enforcement status in each region.
 ⇒Conducted a survey of data protection legislation in eight major Asian countries and the state of California.

(to be implemented sequentially beginning in 2018)

z Conduct a survey of business awareness of the factors that constitute "trust" in the distribution of data in each country and region.
 ⇒Conducted a survey of information industry executives' awareness in major Asian countries to demonstrate the importance of free data flow in an empirical study (~March 2021).
 
Conduct an awareness survey on the use of data and security, and compile it into a proposal format after discussion by the expert committee members (August 2023).

<Strategic Design

0As a strategic design of policy, strengthen the position to examine measures to address the lagging digital transformation and to maintain and expand leadership in international cooperation.

z Expand and maintain relationships with stakeholders in each region.

 ⇒Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and private sector experts discussed strategies and issues surrounding the digital sector with the participation of government officials and private sector in the ASEAN region. (2021/6/29 ASEAN-Japan Digital WS was held)
 ⇒Proposed to OECD BIAC to conduct a survey as a special project to expand the already conducted survey of information industry managers' awareness in major Asian countries to a global scale.
