Outline


IIST co-organized seminars on the theme of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) agreement in response to requests from personnel of Japanese companies developing international business operations.

Overview


Two seminars were held, as shown below. Two university professors who are TPP experts introduced objective information for determining the pros and cons of TPP participation from the perspectives of laws, systems, and economics. They also gave a many-sided explanation of the merits for companies and the impact on agriculture. Almost all of the 250 participants highly evaluated the seminars, saying that they had been "extremely satisfied by the timely theme and content."
