The 6th CLMV Leadership Program in Japan (FY2012)


IIST implements annual programs entitled "The CLMV Leadership Program in Japan" for leaders from Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Vietnam (the so-called CLMV countries). This year, the program was prepared in recognition of the importance of a comprehensive approach incorporating a variety of ideas and measures for region's economic and industrial development. This year, the program was conducted mainly in Hiroshima Prefecture,organized with the cooperation of the Chugoku Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industrylocal companies and organizations.

Through the presentation given by the Chugoku Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry, the participants deepened their understanding of the region's economic and industrial development policy. In addition, , there were opportunities to visit "number-one" and "one-of-a-kind" companies and facilities in the region, including small and medium-sized enterprises, learned about the driving forces that have enabled these companies to grow, such as their management philosophies, product development strategies, and human resource development policies.
