FY2012 Expert Invitation Aimed at Expanding Sales of Agricultural Machinery to Asia
In order to promote agricultural machinery for vegetables manufactured in Hokkaido in the Taiwanese market, IIST invited an expert with a specific knowledge of the agricultural situation in Taiwan to Hokkaido and held a seminar for Hokkaido agricultural machinery manufacturers and related parties with the aim of accelerating product development that meets the needs of Taiwanese farmers.

In the seminar, as well as a speech by Dr. Xie, who was invited from Taiwan, Mr. Hara, who participated in the preliminary survey mission in July as an expert, explained the current situation and future prospects for agricultural machinery in Taiwan. In addition, Dr. Xie visited agricultural machinery manufacturers, farmers, and related parties in Hokkaido. Through these efforts, it is hoped that the response to needs in Taiwanese market will be strengthened and sales routes of the agricultural machinery covering a wider range of crops will be established.
