(Chubu region) Greater Nagoya - International Forum on Next-Generation Mobility (FY2010)

Outline

In the Chubu region, many auto-related companies are possessing an abundance of elemental technologies, such as innovative materials and embedded IT. At the same time, though, the response to structural changes in the industry, such as the development of electric vehicles, is becoming a major challenge.
Against these developments as background, IIST co-organized a forum to learn about the latest trends in the next-generation mobility. Experts from not only Japan but also Germany and the United States were invited to speak at the forum. Of the lectures and sectional meetings in the two-day forum, foreign speakers were invited to attend the Special Lecture Presentation and the Sectional Meeting titled "Greater Nagoya Automotive Embedded System Industry Forum 2011," where they shared information on the latest trends in research, development, administrative policy and other topics relating to next-generation mobility.
