Overview

Due to worsening environmental pollution problems involving water, air, and soil in China, the Chinese government is tackling the highly crucial issue of environmental preservation, as noted in the 11th 5-Year Plan. Not only is China educating the Chinese people and cultivating domestic environment-related industry and business, but the country is also emphasizing the importance of partnering with Japan.
In addition to deepening understanding of Chinese government policies for improving environmental issues, the participants had considerable exchanges with their counterparts through business networking and business discussions (Shanghai International Industry Fair). According to the questionnaire survey conducted after returning to Japan, 10 instances of detailed business discussions took place during the 13th Kyushu-China Industrial Technology Conference and 6 instances during the China International Industry Fai .
