Kyushu Economy International has been developing a framework for further economic development in the Yellow Sea Rim area (the area that faces the Yellow Sea, including Korea, China, and Japan) by holding Yellow Sea Rim Economic and Technological Conferences in cooperation with the Kyushu Business Federation since 2001. This was the 7th Yellow Sea Rim Economic and Technological Conference, and the Yellow Sea Rim (Industry-Academic-Government) Business Forum was held as part of the event with the aim of promoting innovation and formation of a network of knowledge through communication, cultivation, and utilization of human resources in Asia.
The Institute for International Studies and Training (IIST) invited Dr. Park, In-Sook, Chief of Small and Medium Business Administration of Daejeon/Chunguam Region, South Korea, to participate in the forum. Dr. Park made a presentation about industry-academic-government cooperation activities in South Korea and offered letters of appreciation to the representatives of companies in Kyushu that have been contributing towards communication with the Daejeon/Chunguam region.
