Overview


IIST organized its 36th Leadership Program and invited opinion leaders from 13 countries, such as government officials, representatives from economic organizations, academics, and journalists, and gave presentations to them concerning the government policies, economic conditions, society, and culture of Japan. Furthermore, the program offered them the opportunity to exchange opinions with senior METI officials, to visits representative Japanese companies in Tokyo, Nagoya, and Kyoto, and to stay at Japanese homes with typical Japanese families.
