(Kanto Region) Lecture on and Trade Fair for Mongolian Chatsarugana (FY2006) [November 05 (Sunday), 2006]

(Kanto Region) Lecture on and Trade Fair for Mongolian Chatsarugana (FY2006)

Outline

In the course of conducting investigations and research concerning tree-planting volunteer activities, it was found that chatsarugana had the potential to create new businesses in both Mongolia and Ibaraki Prefecture in the areas of industry, environment, and healthcare. The Chatsarugana Association had since been endeavoring to launch full-fledged businesses based on chatsarugana. As the year 2006 marked the 800th anniversary of the establishment of Mongolia, the lectures and a trade fair were organized in Hitachi City, Ibaraki Prefecture, which has a long standing history of exchanges with Mongolia, aiming to establish concrete business relationships. Invited guests included Mongolian experts on chatsarugana, the Governor of Uvs Province, where chatsarugana is produced, and a representative from a chatsarugana-processing company.
