Survey Mission: Comparative Study on China's Metal-Mold related Industry (FY2006)
A survey mission including three experts was sent to Guangdong in China, with the aim of clarifying the future course of Chinese manufacturing industries and problems in Japanese companies' strategies toward China, by surveying the actual conditions of local companies, focusing mainly on those in the metal mold-related industries. The three experts are specialists in trade and investment, and have been engaged in comparative studies on China's metal mold-related industries and have published many treatises and other papers.

The survey mission visited a total of twelve companies (including companies in South Korea and Taiwan), mainly Japanese-affiliated local companies handling parts for automobiles or electrical machinery, as well as the coil centers in Guangzhou, Dongguan, Panyu, and Shenzhen in South China. Also, mission experts held a seminar to report survey results on industrial circumstances in the Dalian, Changchun, and Shanghai areas which they had surveyed.
