Overview

This tour was a good opportunity to introduce the attractiveness and industrial infrastructure of Okinawa to embassy officials in Tokyo who may have few chances to visit Okinawa.
The participants were greatly interested in Okinawa’s unique culture and society, including the customs, lifestyle, and foods that differ from those in the mainland, and tourism resources, including the beautiful sea, which you cannot find in the mainland.
The participants from South East Asian countries, where the climate and crops are similar to those in Okinawa, were particularly interested in the health industry in Okinawa and the distinctive agriculture that uses local plants.
