HOKKAIDO Industrial Tour (FY2003)


Outline


The institute organized the Hokkaido Industrial Tour jointly with the Hokkaido Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry and other organizations in Hokkaido. The participants of the tour visited local companies and research institutes engaged in IT and biotechnology in Sapporo, Otaru, Chitose, etc. and attended lectures on the local industry and economy.

Overview


The participants of the Hokkaido Industrial Tour deepened their understanding about local industries in Hokkaido, which are developing by taking advantage of the rich natural resources of the region. At the same time, they learned that Hokkaido was a driving force for advanced technologies. Those welcoming the participants in Hokkaido had the invaluable experience of exchanging opinions with their guests, which will lead to the promotion of international economic exchange.
