Under its 29th Leadership Program, IIST held an international symposium and workshop on regional economic revival and industrial clusters, inviting four experts in industrial clusters.

Overview


Workshop Flyer The invitees participated as speakers in the workshop held in Tokyo on November 28. The workshop focused on regional economic revival and industrial clusters and, in particular, foreign examples of industrial clusters created on a regional level. In front of a general audience of approximately 100 people attending the workshop, they exchanged opinions with their counterparts in Japan about the significance of forming regional industrial clusters, factors leading to success, and effective promotion measures.
In addition, at the international symposium held in Miyazaki on December 2, the invited experts made speeches on and discussed examples of regions successfully creating industrial clusters ahead of others in front of a general audience of approximately 300 people attending the symposium. The speakers subsequently answered questions from the audience.
