Under the 28th Leadership Program, the IIST held the International Forum for Next Generation/Women Entrepreneurs in Tokyo, inviting six people from abroad (four women entrepreneurs, an executive of an association supporting women entrepreneurs, and an academic).

Overview


The invitees participated in the International Forum for Next Generation/Women Entrepreneurs, which was held focusing on new entrepreneurs for the 21st century, as speakers and panelists. They gave lectures on and discussed the present situation of women entrepreneurs in their home countries.
In this international symposium held in the Tokyo International Forum, approximately 180 people participated in the audience.
At the workshop, which was held in four groups, the invitees actively exchanged opinions with about 50 Japanese participants in each group.

Workshop (held in groups and then the results were summarized)
The workshop was held in four groups, each of which respectively focused on the education of entrepreneurs, desirable processes from incubation to support of entrepreneurs, appropriate business styles identified in supporting SOHO entrepreneurs, and mutual support activities conducted by entrepreneurs through the use of IT.
